IMPRESSIONS OF TURKISH STUDENTS ABOUT C5 MEETING IN POLAND

Ece Öncel:

Hello, I am Ece Öncel from Gazipaşa Science High School in Türkiye. This trip was my first overseas trip. So it was an important experience for me. and unlike other students, I stayed at a student's house. In this way, I had the opportunity to examine the culture and lifestyle of the Poles more closely. The people I stayed with were very thoughtful and hospitable. To briefly touch upon my impression of Polish people, my peers are friendly. They have a cuddling habit and it made me feel very close to them. The middle age group is also at a normal level. As for the elder group, I think from the difficulties experienced in the past, some of them were very sweet people while others were a bit rude. Poles protect their culture, people and history very well, which we can see from the monuments and museums in the vicinity. I respected and envied them very much in this regard, and folk dances are also very enjoyable. It was a very good idea to include the audience in the show held at the school. One of the best moments was where we played bowling. We got along very well there. but ı had to say that the most beautiful is the farewell night. Everyone tried to make the dances of different nations having fun. We have seen many museums and their history has affected me deeply. Of course, we got together as different nationalities during the event. Personally, I can say that my perspective on the world has changed a lot. I have made very good friendships that still continue, albeit through social media. I felt that my English had improved. The best part of the job is that this overseas job is much easier than I envisioned. From now on, I know that wherever I go, I can take care of myself. I would like to thank everyone, especially Mr. Kuba, for all these and many more. Hope to see you one day in a beautiful future…

Arda Güngör:

First of all, we would like to thank our teachers for the trip. I am happy that I went to Poland.I wish I could have stayed longer. It saddened me to leave Poland and the new friends I met there. Grajewo was a small and quiet place. I am happy to see it. Only the weather was very cold, it would have been better if we had gone in June. The students were also very positive and fun. But the people of the city were a bit cold. The museums were nice. But it was a little too much. Instead, more fun activities could be done. For example, the club we went to bowling was very fun, so we got close with foreign friends. I feel that this trip improved my foreign language. It was a very good experience for me. I will miss those moments.

Ayşe Ece:

Hello, I am Ayşe Ece from the Turkish team and I am going to talk about our trip to Poland. This was my first time going abroad and I hope not the last. I was really nervous at the beginning because I was going to stay at home with a family. But I am so glad that I stayed. Not just because I learned about their culture and lifestyle but also because I collected many unique memories with them. The first day, we traveled around Warsaw and it was amazing. My favourite out of the three places we`ve been was the Royal Castle. I love historical places and art so much. Then, we went to Grajewo and met with the family. At the end of the day, I was so tired but also excited. Sunday, I spent time with the family and experienced new things. Like, I went to a church for the first time and it was very interesting. After that we went to the swimming pool, trampoline park etc. Monday was good. I really liked the traditional dances, especially the first one. The museums we went to after school were nice. And spending time with the other students was fun. Tuesday might be my favourite day. I really loved The Branicki Palace and the Historical Museum we went to after the palace. It was snowy and I got really excited because it never snows in Alanya so the snow is something we rarely see. Wednesday was nice too. Galindia was interesting but actually I loved the Wildlife Park more because I love animals. It was my first time seeing a wolf that close and petting a deer, it was so cute. Thursday was sooo cold. I don't remember any time that was colder than this, maybe it was because we spent too much time outside. Nevertheless, I love the Biebrza National Park. The forest and wetlands were beautiful. But my favourite activity was bird watching. It was my first time but I liked it so much that I forgot about the cold. The Wolf Museum was cold. It was so cold that I couldn't think about the wolves. The farewell dinner was so good, thank you for that night again. We had so much fun while dancing with the other students. Next morning, I said goodbye to the family, and went to the hotel with Paulina and her dad. It was so hard to leave them, I almost started to cry but stopped myself. After saying goodbye to other students, we went to the airport and came back to Turkiye. I was so sad because I got so used to there so much and so fast. Poland is a wonderful country. It was an amazing and unforgettable trip. After coming back to Turkiye, I missed there a lot. Every morning, I wanted to open my eyes in that house's room in Grajewo. I miss Paulina and her family, I love them so much. I still miss there so much. I hope I will have the opportunity to see there again in the future. Thank you so much, thank you for everything.

Soykan:

Hello, I am Soykan from Türkiye. This Erasmus experience was amazing for me. This trip had both good and bad sites. But overall it's great. First of all, it helped me understand Polish culture and history. I liked that Poland embraced it's history so much. It's great that you care so much about your history. The museums were very nice but a bit too much. Instead, we needed more free time and hanging out together. Your hospitality was excellent. We had no problems in this respect. The Biebrza National Park and the Wolf Museum were very pleasant but the most beatiful was the Milk Museum. Because Grajewo’s milk was really great. Your traditional dances were nice. Warsaw one of the most beautiful capitals I have ever seen. The historical structure of the city was preserved. The Royal Castle was incredible. It was a fascinating castle. The Copernic Science Museum was very interesting. The Polish students welcomed us very nicely. We are grateful to you and them for this beautiful trip. Our only misfortune was that it was cold. I am sure Grajewo is awesome in the spring. To see you again in the future...
