Impressions of Turkish students of meeting in Bulgaria, 5-9 June 2023
Aleyna SEZER:
When I first came to Bulgaria, I felt peace. I was happy to see so many trees in the city. The Bulgarian lesson and traditional dance lesson we did on the first day of school were among my favorite activities. It was fun for me to learn about the culture of the country I went to. Our 2nd day was full of art for me and thus became my favorite day. It was also an excellent experience to tour the aviation museum. I was also amazed by the whole architecture. I liked that both the old buildings and the new buildings are intertwined and that nature does not separate from them. Going to Bulgaria was an excellent experience. I hope I can experience this again.
Emine Ceylin AVCI:
When I first came to Bulgaria, I didn't feel stranger. The writings around me were different but after I learning the alphabet, it wasn't too difficult. There was a lot of green field. I am very happy that historical buildings everywhere are protected. I found Bachkovo Monastery interesting. Aviation Museum was fun. Sofia was a very beautiful city. It was good to know a different country.
Mehmet ÇOBANOĞLU:
When I learned that I was going to Bulgaria, I was very excited because it was my first time going abroad. The week I had in Bulgaria was one of the best I had in my life. It was worth every moment. I really liked the Bulgarian culture and the city of Plovdiv where we stayed. I also made many new friends. In short, it was a week I will never forget. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to the program.
Zeynep Berra ORBAY:
To be honest I was little bit nerveous at first but when I came to bulgaria I didnt feel alone and stranger. People were pretty helpful and kind. So I relaxed and I tried to meet the other people. Bulgaria is different from Turkiye but at the same time there are also similarities. I really like nature and old buildings so bulgaria’s streets are amazing for me. Especially Old Town is gorgeous. Also I learnt little bit cyrillic alphabet. In my opinion it is interesting. Now i can read cyrillic alphabet but I cant understand. I am very happy to have participated in this project. Now ı have many friends in Bulgaria. It was a very nice experience for me.
