IMPRESSIONS OF THE TURKISH STUDENTS ABOUT THE PORTUGAL MOBILITY
Umut Çağan ÖZTEN: “Portugal was nice, I loved it. Their culture has some similarities with Turkiye while there are some other cultural aspects that are different from Turkey’s cultural aspects. Food is one of the differences between cultures. Desserts in Porto were delicious. My favorite is Pasteis De Nata. Guimaraes Castle was the best destination according to me. The guided tour there was interesting and informative. I didn’t like the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art. World of Discoveries Museum was nice. Simulation in World of Discoveries was fun. I am happy I visited Portugal. City planning is one of the best things in Porto. I hope I can visit there in the future.”
Said Burak ÜLKÜM: “I'm glad I went, I wish I could have stayed a little longer. It felt different to see the culture and order of another country in place. The city we went to was very beautiful, it had a different atmosphere because we went in autumn. It was a nice experience for me, i felt different when I came back. I felt that I had improved both in terms of foreign language and socialization. If I go again, I'm sure I will have a much more productive time(i hope i can go again:). Thank you to our teachers and friends for the trip.”
Zeynep YOĞURTCU:“Portugal was so beautiful city. I was little worried before going to Portugal. I was excited by the idea of going to another country.I learned many difference experience. I visited many historical places. It was beautiful and i like to see beautiful places. I had so much fun.I met new people, learned new cultures. Everyone was kind to each other. Near to our return i was sad because i really had fun in Portugal. There was no stress, we were just having a good time together. It was a trip full of experiences for me. I think this trip has taught me a lot.”
Belemir OĞUZ:“Today I will be sharing my opinions about this beautiful project. First of all, I feel very lucky that I was chosen for this project. It taught me that people from different cultures can share the same experiences and not even realise it. It taught me to be patient with the situations I can’t control. It helped me improve my communication skills. I made friends that I still talk with and that makes me so happy. But the thing I was the most grateful for was it helped me learn that even when I’m standing outside when there is a storm my friends will be there for me. That means although it’s the rainiest day ever if I have the right people with me, I will be smiling and laughing until my cheeks hurt. Also thank you for teaching us about Portugal and its great culture alongside of these values. Hope to see you again!”
Elif Naz KAZIMOĞLU:First of all I would like to say that I was very excited to see Porto and all of its beauties. Actually, I kind of wish that we could’ve stayed there a little bit longer but even though it was a short trip it was still the most beautiful and the most fun trip I’ve ever had. I enjoyed the things we saw, the places we’ve been and basically every second of this visit. I was mostly intrigued by the differences between our cultures, and I wanted to learn more about Portugal and its people. I wish that maybe someday I can visit Porto and wander through its beautiful streets again.
