European Day of Languages in SP1
September 27 this year. The
European Day of Languages was once again celebrated at Primary School No. 1
in Grajewo. On this occasion, there was an appeal and workshops entitled:
"Escape room" in three foreign languages: English, German and Russian.
In addition, the students made posters informing about the holiday.
During the appeal, information
on the genesis of the holiday was provided, as well as interesting facts about
foreign languages. There was a presentation on the Erasmus + project currently
implemented at the school, "Cultural Similarities and Differences Between
European Countries". One of the students from grade 6a presented the piece
"Cavatina" playing the trumpet. Then, the participating students were
divided into several groups and took part in interesting language workshops
(English, German, Russian) prepared by teachers of these subjects.
In addition, an Erasmus +
corner was prepared, presenting products developed by partner schools in the
recently completed Erasmus + project "Food for Thought - A Cultural Recipe
of European Traditions and Customs". The products enjoyed great interest
among students who reviewed them with interest and insight.
The program objectives of the
event are to raise awareness of the richness and diversity of the language in
Europe, to enable students to present their language skills, to encourage
students to participate in the Erasmus + project "Cultural Similarities
and Differences Between European Countries". Presentation of the products
of the completed Erasmus + project "Food for Thought - A Cultural Recipe
of European Traditions and Customs".
The
purpose of establishing this event by the Council of Europe is to make the
general public aware of the importance of multilingualism in Europe, to nurture
cultural and linguistic diversity, and to support language learning, also
outside the formal education cycle.
